1. How to ask
The request is made from inside your account, so that nobody can close someone else's. Use whichever route is easier:
From the DataSet2B app
- Open the app and sign in.
- Tap Perfil (Profile) in the bottom bar.
- Tap Excluir conta (Delete account) and confirm.
From the website
- Sign in at app.dataset2b.com with your email.
- Open Delete account.
- Confirm the request.
Both routes do exactly the same thing. You do not need the app installed to close your account.
2. Before you ask
If you have an approved balance that has not been paid yet, the request is refused until the payment goes out — closing the account would erase the Pix key the money is owed to. The screen tells you the reason and the amount outstanding when that happens.
Closing the account is final. It cannot be reactivated afterwards, and signing up again requires a new referral code.
3. What is erased
- Your registration: name, email, phone, date of birth and Pix key.
- Your access: the account stops existing and open sessions end immediately.
- Recordings still under review, and rejected recordings.
4. What we keep
Some data cannot be erased along with the account, either because the law requires it or because it has already left our control. The periods are the same ones in the Privacy policy:
- Registration data: for up to 5 years after closure, to defend against possible disputes.
- Tax payment records: for the period tax law requires.
- Already approved recordings: kept for as long as the licence granted to clients lasts. Recordings already delivered and built into datasets may not be recoverable from a client's systems.
- Access logs: 6 months, under the Brazilian Internet Civil Framework.
5. Timing
Access ends as soon as you confirm. Removal of the data that carries no legal retention period finishes within 30 days.
6. If you cannot sign in
Lost access to the email you registered with, or cannot sign in for any other reason? Write to contact@dataset2b.com from the address closest to the one you signed up with, asking for your account to be deleted. We may ask for further information to confirm the account is yours before closing it.
For your other data subject rights — access, correction, portability — see Your rights in the Privacy policy.
